In the community of Wawa over 344 homes were decorated, and 44 entered the competition. Next year, organizers stated that they would have to organize a larger school bus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While waiting for their seat on a bus, everyone was invited to have a cup of hot chocolate, cinnamon bun, Timbits, cookies or a cupcake. Brian Lachine also played a wandering minstrel, playing Christmas tunes on his guitar throughout the lobby.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At 8:30 the last bus interrupted its tour and came back to the MMCC for the lighting of the two pine trees that flank the Community Centre. Mayor Ron Rody gave his best wishes to the community and gave his thanks to the organizers who revived the Festival of Lights!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/FestivalofLightsMMCC-3938.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-8988\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/FestivalofLightsMMCC-3938-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/FestivalofLightsMMCC-3938.jpg 600w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/FestivalofLightsMMCC-3938-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Brian Lachine gave &#8220;A big thank you to Mayor Ron Rody for hosting, Judy Moore for her cinnamon buns, Tim Hortons for the Timbits, Andy Stevens for the Hot Chocolate, Mary Anne Pearson for the cookies and Rose Ann Turyk for the cookies and cupcakes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It is very exciting to see all the Chistmas decorations in our community.
