{"id":8818,"date":"2017-12-15T16:03:35","date_gmt":"2017-12-15T21:03:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=8818"},"modified":"2017-12-15T16:05:55","modified_gmt":"2017-12-15T21:05:55","slug":"dr-josee-theriault-is-the-new-critical-care-lead-for-ne-lihn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2017\/12\/15\/dr-josee-theriault-is-the-new-critical-care-lead-for-ne-lihn\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Jos\u00e9e Th\u00e9riault is the new Critical Care Lead For NE LIHN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Dec 15, 2017 @ 16:03<\/b><\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div><div class=\"divider\"><\/div>\n<p>Dr. Jos\u00e9e Th\u00e9riault, a Sudbury Internist-Intensivist, is the new Critical Care Clinical Lead for the North East Local Health Integration Network (NE LHIN).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In this part-time position, Dr. Th\u00e9riault will support the implementation of the provincial Critical Care Strategy &#8212; which is designed to improve access, quality and system integration &#8212; working closely with Critical Care Services Ontario, the North East LHIN\u2019s Critical Care Network, and hospitals across the region with critical care units. Dr. Th\u00e9riault is also responsible for advising the NE LHIN Chief Executive Officer on performance issues with critical care service delivery components, as well as surge capacity planning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to welcome Dr. Th\u00e9riault as our new Critical Care Lead. She has an in-depth understanding of current health challenges in critical care and is committed to system improvements,\u201d said Kate Fyfe Interim NE LHIN CEO. \u201cShe is also passionate about her work to improve access, care and coordination for patients who are critically ill. We are very happy to have her energy and expertise on board.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Th\u00e9riault has practiced full time critical care medicine since 2002 as an Internist-Intensivist at Health Sciences North.\u00a0 She has also held several administrative and academic appointments such as the ICU Academic Director at HSN, as well as being an\u00a0Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
