A silver Volkswagen was reported to be passing unsafely and driving at a high speed. Officers located the vehicle traveling at 161 km\/hr. The male driver, Jaxon MCGARVA 18-years of Scarborough Ontario was charged for Stunt Driving.<\/p>\n<p>On October 29, 2026 at approximately 4:17 p.m. an officer with the Nipigon OPP observed a grey Toyota Highlander on Highway 11&amp;17, in the Township of Red Rock traveling at 150km\/hr. The female driver, Amy MCCORMACK, age 41 of Thunder Bay has been charged with Stunt Driving.<\/p>\n<p>On October 29, 2026 at approximately 5:00 p.m. an officer with the Nipigon OPP observed a dirt bike traveling at high speeds, passing other vehicles and doing &#8220;wheelies&#8221; on Highway 628, in Red Rock Township. The dirt bike continued to do &#8220;wheelies&#8221; within the Town of Red Rock. A 16-year old driver was charged for Stunt driving among other charges under the Highway Traffic Act. A similar looking dirt bike was observed traveling down Highway 628 at night without lights in the previous couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<p>All three drivers were charged under the Highway Traffic Act, received a 30-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and their vehicles were impounded for 14 days, the drivers are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>The OPP remains committed to taking aggressive drivers off our roads through enforcement and public education.
