{"id":87635,"date":"2026-10-29T08:15:33","date_gmt":"2026-10-29T12:15:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=87635"},"modified":"2026-10-29T08:17:46","modified_gmt":"2026-10-29T12:17:46","slug":"east-algoma-opp-charges-laid-after-cdsa-warrant-executed-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2026\/10\/29\/east-algoma-opp-charges-laid-after-cdsa-warrant-executed-2\/","title":{"rendered":"East Algoma OPP &#8211; Charges laid after CDSA Warrant Executed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-101\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a>On October 27, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a Mississauga Avenue apartment.<\/p>\n<p>Police seized over 28 grams of suspected cocaine, over 9 grams of suspected crack, over 5 grams of suspected Fentanyl, numerous suspected Oxycodone pills, Canadian currency (cash), digital scale, packaging materials, and multiple cell phones.<\/p>\n<p>The OPP&#8217;s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), and East Algoma Detachment members were involved with the investigation and two people were arrested and charged with numerous offences.<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer STUBBERT, 45-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; Fentanyl<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; cocaine<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; crack<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; Oxycodone<\/li>\n<li>Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Kory JOSEPH-LABBAN, 20-years-old, from Mississauga was charged with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; Fentanyl<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; cocaine<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; crack<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; Oxycodone<\/li>\n<li>Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This accused persons were held in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on October 28, 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On October 27, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a Mississauga Avenue apartment.
