At 4:10 a.m. ON511 reported that a collision on Hwy 17 has closed the highway in both directions between HWY 11 (E JCT) – NIPIGON, Nipigon and TERRACE BAY W LTS SIGN, Schreiber.<\/p>\n

At 4:45 a.m. OPP North West Region reported on X that <\/span><\/span>Hwy 17<\/span> is closed from <\/span>Hwy<\/span> 11\/17 intersection in <\/span>Nipigon<\/span> to <\/span>Terrace Bay<\/span> due to a two-vehicle collision. Motorists should avoid the area as no detour routes are available.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Terrace Bay Fire\/Emergency Services has posted (5:54 a.m.)\u00a0 that Schreiber and Terrace Bay Fire Departments, OPP and SNEMS are on scene of a transport trailer unit roll-over on Hwy17<\/span>, KM 722 at Hill 19 (East of Pays Plat). Highway is closed. Expect delay for clean-up.<\/span><\/p>\n

NW OPP updated at 6:31 that Hwy 17<\/span> remains fully closed in both directions between <\/span>Nipigon<\/span> and <\/span>Terrace Bay<\/span> following a single transport truck rollover. Clean-up efforts are ongoing. <\/span><\/p>\n

The update by Terrace Bay Fire\/Emergency Services was updated at 6:33 a.m. to reflect that one lane was open (eastbound only). This may be to clear out traffic caught inbetween the closure area. ON511 states that the highway remains closed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
