\"\"<\/a>Sault College congratulates Paul Orazietti, Director of Sault College Athletics and Student Experience, on his upcoming induction into the University of British Columbia\u2019s Frank Gnup Wall of Honour as a Coach\/Builder.<\/div>\n

Orazietti will be formally recognized on October 30 as part of the Wall of Honour\u2019s 2026 class. Established by the Thunderbird Football Advisory Council, the Wall of Honour celebrates athletes, builders, teams and community members whose achievement, leadership and service have made an outstanding contribution to UBC\u2019s football tradition.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Orazietti\u2019s connection to UBC football spans both his playing and coaching career. He was a member of the 1997 UBC Thunderbirds team that captured the Vanier Cup, and later returned to the program as a coach. Over nine seasons with the Thunderbirds, he served in key leadership roles including special teams, offensive and recruiting coordinator, and Associate Head Coach. During that time, the program captured the 2015 Vanier Cup and developed 16 conference all-stars, 14 CFL draft picks and six CIS All-Canadians.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Since joining Sault College in 2019, Orazietti has helped elevate the profile and impact of Cougars Athletics. Under his leadership, Sault College has continued to grow its varsity athletics offerings, celebrate national success in hockey, and create new opportunities for student-athletes including the launch of the College\u2019s Canadian Junior Football League program in 2025.<\/div>\n

\u201cPaul\u2019s induction into the UBC Football Wall of Honour is a tremendous and well-deserved recognition of his exceptional contributions to sport, his leadership, and the many student-athletes he has mentored throughout his career,\u201d said Sherri Smith, President, Sault College. \u201cStudent athletics are an important part of the College experience. They build belonging, confidence, resilience and leadership, while creating opportunities for students to represent their College and their community.<\/div>\n

Paul\u2019s vision and dedication have done so much not only for our College, but for the entirety of Sault Ste. Marie and its sporting community. We are fortunate to have him leading Cougars Athletics, and we look forward to the continued growth and success of our sport programs under his leadership.\u201d<\/div>\n

In addition to his role leading Cougars Athletics, Orazietti is guiding the Sault College football program as it builds a new pathway for young athletes to pursue competitive football alongside post-secondary education in Sault Ste. Marie.<\/div>\n

We are pleased to announce that Paul Orazietti has been inducted into the UBC Wall of Honour as a Coach\/Builder (2026). Induction Ceremony October 30 at the Thunderbird Stadium<\/p>\n

The Wall of Honour was established by the Thunderbird Football Advisory Council to recognize highly accomplished athletes, builders, teams and community members who have made outstanding contributions to the football tradition at the University of British Columbia. The WOH is complementary to the UBC Sports HOF in celebration of football’s prolific history and numerous accomplishments.\u00a0Inductees are enshrined on the basis of playing ability, leadership, and sportsmanship,\u00a0and in so doing have enhanced the image of Thunderbird football. The primary criteria for selection is determined by championships, awards, individual records, conference honours, and national recognition while competing for the Thunderbirds.<\/span><\/p>\n
