We were able to get comfortable on the flower cushions and talk about the stories we read! This was followed by a craft where we used all kinds of foam shapes and created some awesome artwork! The Wawa Public Library is taking registration for our Reading Help program and the Kids Learn to Knit Program. If you are interested in these programs, please come to the library and fill out a registration form.<\/p>\n

Firewolf is back to begin our celebration of First Nations Public Library Week with a painting session on October 3rd<\/sup> beginning at 11:30 a.m. Her teachings and stories of medicines, the Creator and Mother Earth and drumming are very inspiring, and her painting tutorials are amazing.<\/p>\n

Following the afternoon painting with Firewolf, we are so pleased to have the Eagle Medicine Singers perform at the library! This is a three-generation trio who are simply amazing. Please join us at approximately 1:30 to hear the amazing singing and drumming of the Eagle Medicine Singers. Everyone is welcome.<\/p>\n

We ask that you please register ahead as we have limited seating! If you register and cannot come, please let us know as soon as possible, as we usually have a waiting list of people.<\/p>\n

Afterschool Clubs: <\/strong>Join Madison as we kick off a fun new After School Program! There will be stories, crafts, clay, games and a whole lot of fun. Join Madison Tuesday- Friday for a variety of Club activities. Pamphlets for October \u2013 December are ready for pick up and can be downloaded from the Website shortly.<\/p>\n

If your child is new to the program, parents or caregivers will need to fill out a registration form. If your child is a returning participant of the After School Programs, we ask that you review their registration form and make any necessary changes. We look forward to a busy school year and hope to see new as well as returning members of the Wawa Public Library\u2019s After School Programs!<\/p>\n

Another new season of Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop games begin in October! Eric is your Dungeon Master and is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and game play with newcomers as well as seasoned players! This program is open to ages 13+ and takes place at the Wawa Public Library every Tuesday beginning at 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Join us at the Wawa Public Library for September Mahjong! \u00a0\u00a0Dave will be here to teach any new players. If you want to try something different and meet some new people, come and checkout Saturday Mahjong with Dave.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Any seniors interested in joining our Knitting Connections please drop by the library for more information. Our current project is knitting for Chemo patients, young and old and we are knitting chemo hats, knockers, lap blankets, shawls and anything else that would aid in keeping someone warm and cozy during and after treatment.\u00a0 A huge THANK YOU to all our dedicated knitters!<\/p>\n

If you are a senior who is unable to get out, the library offers a Senior\u2019s Shut-in Program. We will deliver library materials to patrons living in the Wawa area.<\/p>\n
