The 1.0-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e339cac4c3b80197d31ad693fb2fe2d32\"><strong>Nipigon 110 (NIP110)<\/strong> is located north of Gamsby Lake, approximately 13 kilometers south of Highway 11. The 0.1-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ef013163d38d3c6a7719c10c840d516e1\"><strong>Kenora 36 (KEN036)<\/strong> is located southeast of Spruce Lake, approximately 2 kilometers southeast of Highway 17. The 0.1-hectare fire is now out.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e8e1b6ce461e22db44a3faa28ddab7266\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 116 (SLK116)<\/strong> is located on an island on Little Vermillion Lake, approximately 4 kilometers west of Highway 72. The 0.1-hectare fire is now out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the time of this update there are 60 active wildland fires in the Northwest Region. Of those fires, 3 are not under control, 6 are being held, 13 are under control and 38 are being observed.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"fires-note\">Fires of note<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The Rinker Lake Complex &#8211; Thunder Bay 36\u00a0(THU036), Dryden 34\u00a0(DRY034), Dryden 35\u00a0(DRY035)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ec7357fb822cf58bbd1b4034598e950ca\">Fire activity across the complex has remained on the lower end of the spectrum in recent days although smoke remains visible in some areas.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"eca9dd85b913ab9524f22a46b3428531e\">Thanks to ongoing suppression efforts, all three fires in the Rinker Lake Fire Complex are now being held.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ee9e16e413b58180afed76f9b5eb41de0\"><strong>THU036<\/strong> is currently measuring 301,240\u00a0hectares and is now <strong>being held.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ec1f96ced060a5cf38f5add85794af2f0\"><strong>DRY034<\/strong> is currently measuring 45,800\u00a0hectares and is now <strong>being held.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ea2018c39ec1ac202a2755f67de624242\"><strong>DRY035<\/strong> is currently measuring 30,158\u00a0hectares and is now <strong>being held.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e5d7facc8a684234dfa73d3579ae31c57\">This change in status indicates that with currently committed resources, sufficient suppression action has been taken so that the fire is unlikely to spread beyond existing or predetermined control boundaries under current or forecasted conditions.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ef4c6a64291f6e25f938aecd0b479ccd7\">As a result of the status changes, this will be the final update that will include the Rinker Lake Complex among the fires of note.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Updated: September 4,\u00a02026\u00a0at 6:00\u00a0p.m.\u202fCentral Daylight Time (CDT).
