The 0.1-hectare fire is now out.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ea3f632300d2189d27e14c61447658ccf\"><strong>Nipigon 108 (NIP108) <\/strong>is located near Eskwanonwatin Lake, approximately 21 kilometers west of Highway 585. The 0.5-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ef5a8a2d187fc8051d5d4fc20ddb9e210\"><strong>Fort Frances 69 (FOR069)<\/strong> is located near Highway 502, approximately 2 kilometers northwest of Bearpaw Lake. The 0.1-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e84a694970a28c5aa372c1167d5d41bf5\"><strong>Fort Frances 70 (FOR070) <\/strong>is located near Highway 502, approximately 1 kilometer west of Laver Lake. The 0.1-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ebb93f0eaf24f18fb8d2d6b85c4fd2900\"><strong>Fort Frances 71 (FOR071) <\/strong>is located near the east end of Bearpaw Lake, approximately 4 kilometers east of Highway 502. The 0.1-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e6979830ca1f1a3e25be5f186b73d7267\"><strong>Fort Frances 72 (FOR072) <\/strong>is located south of Bearpaw Lake, approximately 4.5 kilometers east of Highway 502. The 0.1-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e7f6555001a31faed5364e8a0551107b7\"><strong>Thunder Bay 86 (THU086)<\/strong> is located on an island on Max Lake, approximately 1 kilometer west of Highway 527. The 0.1-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the time of this update there are 62 active wildland fires in the Northwest Region. Of those fires, 9 are not under control, 3 are being held, 12 are under control and 38 are being observed.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"fires-note\">Fires of note<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The Rinker Lake Complex &#8211; Thunder Bay 36\u00a0(THU036), Dryden 34\u00a0(DRY034), Dryden 35\u00a0(DRY035)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e9856d3724aa87645cf4180339eb03d19\">All 3\u00a0fires in the complex remain classified as \u201cnot under control\u201d, which can describe a wide spectrum of fire activity.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ec0bd98709b8b854f931ee36c4ec59fec\">Fire activity across the complex has remained on the lower end of the spectrum in recent days although smoke remains visible in some areas.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e2e2500f948c9363c2007841f9ae4e7c8\">Firefighting crews, supported by helicopter bucketing operations, are focused on suppressing hotspots while demobilizing equipment as required.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ec31d73d3f4bc9b7ffd0401f0c01ffa76\"><strong>THU036<\/strong> is currently measuring 301,240\u00a0hectares and remains not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ee828521e4c4939a92c48cf2221611483\"><strong>DRY034<\/strong> is currently measuring 45,800\u00a0hectares and remains not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e25414e9a869e9d82cff59c54450d3609\"><strong>DRY035<\/strong> is currently measuring 30,158\u00a0hectares and remains not under control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Updated: September 3,\u00a02026\u00a0at 6:00\u00a0p.m.\u202fCentral Daylight Time (CDT).
