She left this life and became an angel far too soon.

Debbie grew up in Wawa, Ontario, a community that remained an important part of her life and where she made so many lifelong memories and friendships.

Debbie was the loving spouse of Maurice Dumoulin, who cared deeply for her and was by her side always until the end; the love of her life. A devoted mother to Carlee (Andrew), Heather, and Taylor (Stephanie), and bonus mom to Jamie and Matthew. She was the cherished daughter of Sandra Case and the late Carl Case, and was loved like a daughter by Pat, who held a very special place in her life. Debbie was a loving sister to Carl (Lucille), Jody (Todd), Tania, and Joey (Brooke), and a best friend to Sherry and Kim. Above all, Debbie adored her grandchildren: Hudson, Fynn, Angelo, Olivia, Sonny and Leah. They brought so much happiness to her life, and she loved them deeply. Debbie will also be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends. A true Grantie.

Debbie was a truly kind soul who loved and cared for others, often more than she cared for herself. She was an empath in every sense of the word—someone who felt the happiness, struggles, and pain of the people around her deeply. If someone needed help, Debbie was there.

One of Debbie’s greatest loves was camp. She spent many wonderful years at Whitefish and, most recently, Odawbi. Camp was where she wanted to be. She took pride in keeping the flower gardens and yard beautiful, clearing the beach, and always finding something that needed to be done. She was never afraid of hard work.

That same care followed Debbie throughout her working life. She spent many years at Lady Dunn Health Centre in Wawa, preparing food for patients and staff and often going beyond what was on the menu simply because she wanted to make someone’s day a little better. She talked often about the people she worked with and the lifelong friendships she made there. Debbie genuinely loved going to work, and the people she met along the way became an important part of her life.

If there are two things Debbie taught us, they are how to work hard and how to love deeply. Those lessons will stay with us forever. Her absence leaves an enormous space in the lives of the people who loved her. We will miss her kindness, her generosity, her work ethic, her love for camp, and all of the little ways she showed people that she cared.

In Debbie’s memory, please reach out to the people you love. Call them. Send a message. Say hi. Ask how they are doing and truly listen. A small gesture of kindness can mean more than you may ever know.

We love you, Mom. We will carry you with us always.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Oberai and all of the staff at Lady Dunn Health Centre for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion they provided to Debbie and our family, through end of life. As well as all the care she received at Sault Area Hospital.

Please join us at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #429 (Broadway Avenue, Wawa) on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to Lady Dunn Health Centre or Iris Place in Wawa, Ontario.

“ya know…”

Arrangements entrusted to Kerry Funeral Home, Wawa

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Debbie Ann Case, on Monday August 31, 2026.
