Apparently it took a midnight flight, but took advantage of the runway for a safe landing.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Today though, it takes center stage as a larger-than-life keychain. Today marks the launch of Petro-Canada&#8217;s second annual Give A Honk campaign in support of Petro-Canada&#8217;s CareMakers Foundation, who supports more than eight million family caregivers across Canada.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"Paragraph SCXW189628488 BCX0\">The connection is a natural one. Wawa takes its name from the Ojibwe word for \u201cwild goose,\u201d and the Canada goose became the inspiration for Give\u00a0A\u00a0Honk because of the traits it\u00a0embodies:\u00a0loyalty, protectiveness, and dedication to supporting its flock, much like the millions of family caregivers who care for loved ones every day.\u00a0Petro-Canada partnered with the Municipality of Wawa and worked closely with Research Casting International, the company behind the Wawa Goose\u2019s reconstruction in 2017 to bring this installation to life for\u00a0the month of September.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"Paragraph SCXW189628488 BCX0\">Canadians can help support family caregivers by purchasing a Give A Honk Goose Keychain for $1 (plus applicable taxes) with a 25L purchase, with Petro-Canada donating $3 from every keychain sold to the CareMakers Foundation throughout September, while supplies last.
