The officer also observed two adult passengers lying in the rear of the vehicle, not occupying positions equipped with seat belts.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the investigation, the adult passengers, aged 22 and 30, of Selkirk, Manitoba were charged under the <em>Highway Traffic Act<\/em> with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passenger Fail to Occupy Position with Seat Belt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 31-year-old driver from Selkirk, Manitoba, was charged under the <em>Highway Traffic Act<\/em> with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive Motor Vehicle &#8211; Perform Stunt &#8211; Excessive Speed<\/li>\n<li>Fail to Ensure Toddler Properly Secured<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the driver received a 30-day Administrative Driver&#8217;s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and their vehicle was impounded for 14 days.<\/p>\n<p>The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>The OPP remains committed to taking aggressive drivers off our roads through enforcement and public education.
