\"\"<\/a>The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre (CBHC) is pleased to announce that Jonathan Coulman has joined the organization as its new Executive Director, effective July 2026.<\/p>\n

A respected community leader, Coulman brings extensive experience in the non-profit sector. He previously served as Executive Director of the Algoma Workforce Investment Corporation (AWIC) for 10 years, and as Manager of Career Education and Employability at Algoma University.<\/p>\n

“I’m honoured to take on this role at an organization that has meant so much to my own family over the years,” said Coulman. “The Bushplane Heritage Centre is a cornerstone of tourism and community life in Sault Ste. Marie and Northern Ontario. I’m looking forward to working alongside our incredible staff, volunteers, and community to build on this legacy and grow the Centre for the next generation of visitors.”<\/p>\n

Richard Walker, President of the CBHC Board of Directors, welcomed Coulman to the organization, citing his proven leadership, collaborative approach, and deep connection to the community.<\/p>\n

“Jonathan’s track record of building strong organizations, fostering meaningful partnerships, and driving positive community impact made him the clear choice to lead CBHC into its next chapter,” said Walker. “The Board is confident that his experience, vision, and passion for this institution will help strengthen the Centre’s role as a premier heritage, tourism, and educational destination.”<\/p>\n

Following years of dedicated leadership under Executive Director Jamie Hilsinger, CBHC is entering its next phase of growth with this planned leadership transition. While Coulman assumes the role of Executive Director, Hilsinger will continue to provide strategic leadership by advancing the Centre’s Future Impact Project, a transformative infrastructure initiative focused on enhancing the museum’s facilities ensuring programming and community impact for generations to come.<\/p>\n
