This is not an Evacuation Order. Residents in the newly identified alert areas are strongly encouraged to prepare for a possible evacuation and be ready to leave on short notice if conditions change.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Please be advised that all areas included in the prior Evacuation Order remain under those orders and evacuation is still required<\/p>\n<p>This includes the following including Fort Frances 14. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">People in the area near the fires are directed to evacuate the area immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Evacuation Order &#8211; Fort Frances 14<\/h4>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"eeb0843f046a55e00dcfc40cc28959c1e\"><strong>This Order is in effect as of July 17, 2026 at 7:00 \u202fa.m. Eastern Daylight Time until such time as the order is revoked.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"eeb0843f046a55e00dcfc40cc28959c1e\">All persons must immediately evacuate the area indicated on the attached map unless authorized by a travel permit issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e5401f5ef51002ea7b5a7d956f19a92e4\">All class=\"clear\"><\/div><div class=\"divider\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>MNR Update of Thursday, July 17, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fort Frances 14 (FOR014) and Fort Frances 15 (FOR015)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lac Des Mille Lacs\/Upsala area (Wildland Fire Fort Frances 14)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e884f0a5ac0df6c7ab6e8de6065ce5198\">Presently the FOR 014 fire is sized at 55,106 hectares and is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"edf3af9e206dd8fb5b46a9986634a8ba8\">The northern perimeter of FOR 014 is estimated to be approximately 5 kilometres southwest of the Trans-Canada Hwy. at its closest point.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e63f9a9687f1f838949ff1fe86ef86642\">The southern perimeter of FOR 14 extends as far south as Fork Lake, approximately 6 kilometres north of Hwy. 11.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e96f9192e2c82e0d7b6b3472c573b0f10\">Both fires exhibited significantly less growth overnight than in previous days.
