The 5.0\u00a0hectare fire received air attack July 13\u00a0and is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ecbeee3e8ab8f5c18028533b623c2fcc5\"><strong>Fort Frances 37\u00a0(FOR037) <\/strong>is located north of Crooked Lake in Quetico Provincial Park, approximately 61\u00a0kilometres south of Atikokan, the 5-hectare fire is being observed.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e4976b5224ab4a55e4981a77e108e2cf2\"><strong>Fort Frances 36\u00a0(FOR036<\/strong>) is located near French Lake, approximately 36\u00a0kilometres east of Atikokan. The 0.2\u00a0hectare fire is being held.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Sioux Lookout Sector<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e21c784c672fa5842d12495c752cc224c\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 89\u00a0(SLK089<\/strong>) is located near Hill Lake, approximately 19\u00a0kilometres north of the Ojibway Nation of Saugeen. The fire is not under control at 55\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e53e8d415fde6f0a62816a0ab588150ff\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 88\u00a0(SLK088<\/strong>) is located near Doghole Lake, approximately 8\u00a0kilometres southwest of Mishkeegogamang First Nation. The fire is not under control at 0.2\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ef013c14d4f3614101cb9865d0c30b3ba\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 87\u00a0(SLK 087)<\/strong> is located on an island on Lake of Bays, approximately 40\u00a0kilometres southeast of Sioux Lookout. The fire is not under control at 0.2\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ea8b73fa42e87e5783f9583d679304ac9\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 86\u00a0<\/strong>(300\u00a0hectares) and <strong>Sioux Lookout 85<\/strong> (0.3\u00a0hectares) &#8211; are located near Pashkokogan Lake, approximately 18\u00a0and 22\u00a0kilometres south of Mishkeegogamang First Nation, respectively.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e3b9cec5860ac7b0eb81ebcd578a79ca8\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 84\u00a0<\/strong>(SLK084) is located near DeLesseps Lake, approximately 71\u00a0kilometres south of Mishkeegogamang First Nation. The 143-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Dryden Sector<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e3a206fbef2f596e7e192f5c1998ed351\"><strong>Dryden 36\u00a0(DRY036) <\/strong>is located near Lower Moosehide Lake, approximately 21\u00a0kilometres southwest of Ignace. The fire is not under control at 60\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ec31606bb8c6e984738095fbe54f390d8\"><strong>Dryden 35\u00a0(DRY035) <\/strong>is located near Weaver Lake, approximately 72\u00a0kilometres north of Upsala. The fire is not under control at 500\u00a0hectares.\\<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"efda7d8ef200f58583cad9933c573ddb2\"><strong>Dryden 34\u00a0(DRY034)<\/strong> is located near Harmon Lake, approximately 28\u00a0kilometres south of the Allanwater Bridge. The fire is not under control at 400\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e006e8b5aacf22bbc36e39d4945d87f66\"><strong>Dryden 33\u00a0(DRY033<\/strong>) is located on a southern peninsula of Eagle Lake, approximately 11\u00a0kilometres southwest of Migisi Sahgaigan First Nation. The fire is not under control at 3\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ec6f47aa1e24daf622c358768334aa91a\"><strong>Dryden 32\u00a0(DRY032)<\/strong> was located adjacent Hwy. 647\u00a0near Blue Lake Provincial Park. The fire was called out at 0.1\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Thunder Bay Sector<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e1ae27ad7f928e6361381a1523b9e665d\"><strong>Thunder Bay 59\u00a0(THU059) <\/strong>is located near the northern shore of Lake Nipigon, approximately 35\u00a0kilometres east of Armstrong. The fire is not under control at 0.2\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ebed6ecbf1305bd2d4ec547e102b54450\"><strong>Thunder Bay 58\u00a0(THU058)<\/strong> is located approximately 2\u00a0kilometres south of Pallisades Rd. near the junction of Moore Rd. The 1.0\u00a0hectare fire received air attack from waterbombers this afternoon. The fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ef9fcdc976c0dcc319fc7704c5db206d9\"><strong>Thunder Bay 57\u00a0(THU 057<\/strong>) is located approximately 5.5\u00a0kilometres north of Whitefish Lake. The fire is not under control at 0.5\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"eb1559cdd68be5424d1da3f74afa1e40e\"><strong>Thunder Bay 56\u00a0(THU056)<\/strong> is located near Wawang Lake, approximately 41\u00a0kilometres north of Upsala. The 400-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e96b7ebdb2c991b1f86a8da0fd0b926a8\"><strong>Thunder Bay 55\u00a0(THU055)<\/strong> is located near Smoothrock Lake in Wabakimi Provincial Park, approximately 37\u00a0kilometres northwest of Armstrong. The fire is not under control at 5\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"efd9a30f2309ecff13ef1aadae2ba47ce\"><strong>Thunder Bay 54\u00a0(THU 054<\/strong>) is located near Brett Lake, approximately 59\u00a0kilometres west of Gull River First Nation. The 400-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e57d6160e32a2624e753ca483f641385d\"><strong>Thunder Bay 53<\/strong> (1.0 hectare), <strong>Thunder Bay 50\u00a0<\/strong>(25 hectares) and <strong>Thunder Bay 49<\/strong>\u00a0(0.1 hectare) are located west of Caribou Lake in Wabakimi Provincial Park, approximately 21\u00a0kilometres north of Armstrong.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e2ae07921699edf883d7bc239324752d3\"><strong>Thunder Bay 52\u00a0(THU052)<\/strong> is located east of Wabakimi Provincial Park, approximately 37\u00a0kilometres north of Armstrong. The fire is not under control at 0.1\u00a0hectares.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ee6b292613b23651805c6ec213562d2e5\"><strong>Thunder Bay 51\u00a0(THU 051<\/strong>) is located approximately 6.3\u00a0kilometre northwest of Whitefish Lake, the 9.0\u00a0hectare fire received air attack from waterbombers, July 13. The fire remains not under control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Nipigon Sector<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e0ec6b98ab8f7f5c3b18ed4af4204e567\"><strong>Nipigon 40\u00a0(NIP040)<\/strong> is located near Opichaun Lake, approximately 42\u00a0kilometres south of Fort Hope First Nation. The 1.0\u00a0hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e43eb012cf102683753fbcdfb962d46e5\"><strong>Nipigon 39<\/strong>\u00a0(0.5 hectares) and <strong>Nipigon 38<\/strong>\u00a0(1.5 hectares) are located near Sollas Lake, approximately 38\u00a0kilometres northwest of Aroland. Both fires are not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"eab61122ce22a0412fbcb37c5f629996d\"><strong>Nipigon 37\u00a0(NIP037<\/strong>) is located south of Toronto Lake, approximately 61\u00a0kilometres west of Aroland. The 35\u00a0hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e23feca4827acb784fd00359f9c472cf6\"><strong>Nipigon 36\u00a0(NIP036)<\/strong> is located near the north shore of Miminiska Lake, approximately 56\u00a0kilometres west of Fort Hope First Nation.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ebc7d0d2d5183d51f17ba3c2506586d83\"><strong>Nipigon 35\u00a0(NIP035)<\/strong> is located south of Luella Lake, approximately 72\u00a0kilometres southwest of Fort Hope First Nation. The 150-hectare fire is being observed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the time of this update there are 128\u00a0active wildland fires in the Northwest Region. Of those fires, 53\u00a0are not under control, 8\u00a0fires are being held, 4\u00a0fires are under control 63\u00a0fires are being observed. A total of 4\u00a0fires were called out today.<\/p>\n<p>To access the current forest fire danger rating in your area visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lioapplications.lrc.gov.on.ca\/ForestFireInformationMap\/index.html?viewer=FFIM.FFIM\">interactive fire map<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Fires of note<\/h4>\n<h5>Fort Frances 14<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"efcbeb05ee8b037ab8f77922132e2d910\">Fort Frances 14 (FOR014) is located approximately 35\u00a0kilometres southwest of Upsala near Byers Lake.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ecc79d12d97c8b021c5c69d5207db7367\">The fire is now measuring 1,749.7\u00a0hectares and is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ef8ca38be9bfed6e231757897240e46e7\">There are 13\u00a0FireRanger crews, 10\u00a0Type-2\u00a0fire fighting crews, and 12\u00a0helicopters assigned to suppression operations<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e010576bec59fd235cbbc024a1a1c2c53\">Increased fire behaviour was observed today as hot, dry conditions persist.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e5769dfa231a5804d65634d279f68db98\">Ground crews and bucketing helicopters were supported throughout the day by CL-415\u00a0waterbombers.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e6d2cd1dc907b126c895e24d1f8daf85c\">A NOTAM is now in effect over the fire area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Fort Frances 15<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e0169b3a74c26862ad7c3e80488ca7ea0\">Fort Frances 15\u00a0(FOR015) is located in Quetico Provincial Park, south of Pickerel Lake.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e1a64990f7d25edf18c4c74c49d66de5c\">The fire is now measuring 1,751.9\u00a0hectares and is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e52828393b1a24817d181ac99bd62d1f6\">Increased fire behaviour was observed today as hot, dry conditions persist. Smoke is visible in the area.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e51e95adf5d368d49f8da68f03337b783\">Quetico Provincial Park has issued a closure in parts of the park.
