Of those fires, 1 is under control, and 1 is being observed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div><div class=\"divider\"><\/div>\n<h3>Northwest Region<\/h3>\n<p>Updated: June 26,\u00a02026 at 20:35\u00a0p.m. \u202fCentral Daylight Time (<abbr>CDT<\/abbr>)<\/p>\n<p>One additional fire was confirmed in the evening hours of June 25, following the previous update.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e3a556852c9b446c797349789a8f973e5\"><strong>Kenora 16 (KEN016)<\/strong> was located near the shore of Umfreville Lake, east of One Man Lake 29. The fire was called out later that evening at 0.1 hectares.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Twenty-four new wildland fires were confirmed in the Northwest Region by the evening of June 26.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e0e39846ec0260da4d486b0c149371481\"><strong>Red Lake 11 (RED011)<\/strong> is located south of Malette Lake, approximately 5.0 kilometres west of Weeskayjahk Ohtahzhoganeeng Provincial Park. The 4.0-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"efe47a001d962551289f15800869f3f5e\"><strong>Red Lake 12 (RED012)<\/strong> is located south of the Deer Lake and Cochrane River confluence. The 0.5-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ef4feb731b9ded41c3f883e7dc38270b9\"><strong>Red Lake 13 (RED013)<\/strong> is located approximately 10.0 kilometres east of North Spirit First Nation. The 0.4-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ed183a092f53e03b5a2985d9bd706a055\"><strong>Thunder Bay 28 (THU028)<\/strong> is located approximately 1.0 kilometre west of the intersection of Roenicke Road and Depiero Road. The 1.0-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e3fac9b420181e3906bc57886c987c28e\"><strong>Thunder Bay 29 (THU029)<\/strong> is located approximately 1.0 kilometre east of Labelle Lake and 4.6 kilometres west of Redhead Lake. The 0.2-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e9ff504850ab6af8a0667bd0ccaf8898d\"><strong>Dryden 19 (DRY019)<\/strong> is located on Windigo Island in Eagle Lake, southwest of Migisi Sahgaigan. The 0.1-hectare fire is being held.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e73b4bbec6ffe68ca38943cf566589b89\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 4 (SLK004)<\/strong> is located near Webb Lake, approximately 20.8 kilometres east of Highway 599. The 0.3-hectare fire is under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e507052617ad3453f8c7fd1777f701367\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 5 (SLK005) <\/strong>and <strong>Sioux Lookout 6 (SLK006)<\/strong> are located approximately 35.0 kilometres southeast of Pickle Lake. The two fires measure 4.0 and 0.1 hectares, respectively, and are not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"eae07612603b9da2259c3c7313bb6a0f8\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 7 (SLK007) <\/strong>is located approximately 4.3 kilometres west of Albany River, near Sturman Lake. The 0.2-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e7d188ca009346427135699d7081beddc\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 8 (SLK008)<\/strong> and <strong>Sioux Lookout 10 (SLK010)<\/strong> are located approximately 20.0 kilometres southeast of Collishaw Lake and Highway 599. The two fires measure 4.5 and 0.1 hectares, respectively, and are not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e32a3271f45c4d661e56c72798439f41f\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 9 (SLK009)<\/strong> is located approximately 9.0 kilometres northwest of Pembina Bay (Lake St. Joseph). The 15.0-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e0a45c3d70b2ed08795ece5f1356d40ec\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 11 (SLK011)<\/strong> is located approximately 7.8 kilometres east of Highway 599, and 21.0 kilometres northeast of Pickle Lake. The 15.0-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e5643063f332846b324dc0fb9ce751629\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 12 (SLK012) <\/strong>and <strong>Sioux Lookout 14 (SLK014)<\/strong> are located north of Dorothy Lake, near Dobie River. The two fires measure 0.3 and 0.2 hectares, respectively, and are not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ea1017b21a76921756a6b84af0bdedb3b\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 13 (SLK013)<\/strong> is located approximately 12.0 kilometres west of Highway 599, and 15.0 kilometres north of Pickle Lake. The 2.0-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"edff8596118d1f5c89942cb1e3cede195\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 15 (SLK015)<\/strong> and <strong>Sioux Lookout 16 (SLK016)<\/strong> are located near Nabemakoseka Creek, between Fry Lake and Dorothy Lake. The two fires measure 0.1 and 0.2 hectares, respectively, and are not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e1c463e5b53eaa759280f65955fc1890f\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 17 (SLK017)<\/strong> is located northeast of Lac Seul, between Ration Lake and Horse Lake. The 0.2-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e8ed42e2d77672441dc06e27eda56fcb2\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 18 (SLK018)<\/strong> is located southwest of Kezik Lake, approximately 17.3 kilometres northwest of Slate Falls Nation Reserve. The 1.5-hectare fire is not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"efc9054bff4140a89a847ff6ae7dc5f9a\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 19 (SLK019)<\/strong> and <strong>Sioux Lookout 20 (SLK020)<\/strong> are located between Armit Lake and Winsome Lake. The two fires measure 0.1 and 0.2 hectares, respectively, and are not under control.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"ed4e00627c50868773c2f38bf1a19c277\"><strong>Sioux Lookout 21 (SLK021)<\/strong> is located approximately 9.0 kilometres south of Wunnumin Lake First Nation. The 80-hectare fire is not under control. Aerial suppression using CL-415 waterbombers has been ongoing throughout the evening.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the time of this update there are 37 active wildland fires in the Northwest Region.
