An MTO snowplow will lead traffic, with an OPP cruiser directly behind. This is to ensure the highway is safe as it reopens after extended closures across the Northeast region.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Important for all drivers:<\/div>\n

  • No passing is permitted at any time \u2013 any vehicle in the convoy, including the lead vehicles.<\/li>\n
  • Speed will be determined by the OPP, based on road and visibility conditions.<\/li>\n
  • Traffic will move as a single escorted convoy until the route is confirmed safe.<\/li>\n
  • Similar controlled openings will be occurring throughout the Northeast Region today.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
