The Superior East Community Futures Development Corporation (SECFDC) is seeking an engaged, community-minded individual to serve as a member of the Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) committee.<\/p>\n

The MAT committee provides strategic oversight and guidance on the allocation of Municipal Accommodation Tax revenues. These funds support tourism development, destination marketing and initiatives that enhance the visitor economy. Committee members play an important role in ensuring transparent, responsible, and impactful use of MAT funding.<\/p>\n

Roles and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Review and provide recommendations on MAT revenue allocation and project funding proposals.<\/li>\n
  • Support the development of strategies that strengthen local tourism and enhance visitor experience.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor program outcomes and ensure alignment with legislative requirements.<\/li>\n
  • Attend scheduled meetings monthly.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute expertise in tourism, hospitality, or community engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/strong>
    \nWe invite applications from individuals who:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Have experience or strong interest in tourism, hospitality, or community engagement.<\/li>\n
    • Possess sound judgement, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate within a committee structure.<\/li>\n
    • Are a resident within the Municipality of Wawa.<\/li>\n
    • Can commit to regular meetings and reading of materials in advance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Le comit\u00e9 de la taxe d\u2019h\u00e9bergement municipal assure la supervision strat\u00e9gique et fournit des orientations concernant l\u2019affectation des recettes de la taxe d\u2019h\u00e9bergement municipal. Ces fonds soutiennent le d\u00e9veloppement du tourisme, le marketing des destinations et les initiatives qui dynamisent l\u2019\u00e9conomie touristique. Les membres du comit\u00e9 jouent un r\u00f4le important pour garantir une utilisation transparente, responsable et efficace des fonds.<\/p>\n
