{"id":77946,"date":"2025-10-29T08:17:28","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T12:17:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=77946"},"modified":"2025-10-30T08:22:52","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T12:22:52","slug":"77946","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/29\/77946\/","title":{"rendered":"LDHC Seeks One Francophone Director &#038; one Patient Advisor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Lady Dunn Health Centre<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seeks One Francophone Director and one Patient Advisor<\/p>\n<p>The Nominating Committee of the Board of Directors, as the committee responsible for bringing forward suitable candidates to the Board, is seeking applications from persons who are interested in serving as a Director or as a non-voting patient advisor.<\/p>\n<p>LDHC is a multi-service hospital servicing the communities of Dubreuilville, Hawk Junction, Michipicoten First Nation, Wawa, Missanabie, and White River. LDHC is dedicated to providing programs and services in both official languages and in accordance with the French Language Service Act seeks to have francophone representation on our Board. Our Mission is \u201cto provide our communities with high quality health services.\u201d The Board governs the organization, and is responsible for strategic directions, capacity, quality, collaborative ventures, risk management and financial accountability. Directors act in the best interest of the corporation to ensure that the hospital fulfills its mission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commitment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend Board meetings 10 times per year<\/li>\n<li>May involve committee work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Diversity of skills, knowledge and viewpoints is desirable for a high-performing Board, and so the Board encourages applications from suitable francophone and English-speaking individuals with an interest in serving in this capacity. Il s\u2019est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 fournir des programmes et des services dans les deux langues officielles et, conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la <em>Loi sur les services en fran\u00e7ais, <\/em>cherche \u00e0 avoir une repr\u00e9sentation francophone au sein de son conseil. La mission du CSLD\u00a0: \u00ab\u2009Fournir des services de sant\u00e9 de haute qualit\u00e9 \u00e0 nos communaut\u00e9s\u2009\u00bb. C\u2019est le conseil qui gouverne l\u2019organisme. Figurent parmi ses responsabilit\u00e9s les domaines suivants\u00a0: orientations strat\u00e9giques, capacit\u00e9,\u00a0 qualit\u00e9, initiatives de collaboration, gestion des risques et responsabilit\u00e9 financi\u00e8re. Les membres du conseil agissent dans l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat du CSLD afin de s\u2019assurer que l\u2019h\u00f4pital concr\u00e9tise sa mission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assister aux r\u00e9unions du conseil 10\u00a0fois par ann\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<li>Pouvoir si\u00e9ger \u00e0 des comit\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pour maximiser son rendement, un conseil doit avoir une diversit\u00e9 de comp\u00e9tences, de connaissances et de points de vue. Le conseil du CSLD encourage donc les francophones et les anglophones que ce genre de travail int\u00e9resse \u00e0 poser leur candidature.
