{"id":76833,"date":"2025-09-10T08:16:32","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T12:16:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=76833"},"modified":"2025-09-10T08:16:57","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T12:16:57","slug":"east-algoma-opp-charges-laid-after-vehicle-crashed-in-ditch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/10\/east-algoma-opp-charges-laid-after-vehicle-crashed-in-ditch\/","title":{"rendered":"East Algoma OPP &#8211; Charges Laid after Vehicle crashed in Ditch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-101\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859-300x236.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a>On September 4, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call of a blue pickup truck that crashed in the ditch. \u00a0The complainant also reported that the male driver was out of the truck and too drunk to stand.\u00a0Police arrived a short afterwards and spoke to the lone driver who was stumbling and only wearing one shoe.\u00a0A strong odour of alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath and displayed signs of alcohol impairment.\u00a0Police also learned the person was previously prohibited from driving.\u00a0He was arrested and the vehicle was towed and impounded.<\/p>\n<p>Brian MARION, 53-years-old, from Sault Ste.
