{"id":74374,"date":"2025-06-05T18:00:31","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T22:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=74374"},"modified":"2025-06-05T20:07:50","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T00:07:50","slug":"se-opp-wawa-drug-warrant-executed-arrent-charges-laid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/05\/se-opp-wawa-drug-warrant-executed-arrent-charges-laid\/","title":{"rendered":"SE OPP Wawa &#8211; Drug Warrant Executed, Arrent &#038; Charges Laid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-101\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859-300x236.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a>On June 4, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant in Wawa.<\/p>\n<p>Police attended an apartment complex on Churchill Avenue and seized more than 30 grams of suspected cocaine (estimated street value exceeding $3000), more than 48 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine (estimated street value exceeding $4800) more than 760 tablets of methamphetamine (estimated street value exceeding $4500), one conductive energy weapon, five firearms, over $3300 in cash, packaging materials, digital scales, and cell phones.<\/p>\n<p>The OPP&#8217;s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), and uniform members were involved with the investigation with one person being arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Blake KOMARNISKI, 41 years-of-age from Wawa was charged with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-cocaine<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-methamphetamine (two counts)<\/li>\n<li>Possession property obtained by crime under $5000<\/li>\n<li>Breach of firearms regulation-store firearms or restricted weapon<\/li>\n<li>Unauthorized possession of a firearm<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose<\/li>\n<li>Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order<\/li>\n<li>Fail to comply with Probation Order<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_4177.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-74378\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_4177-600x448.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_4177-600x448.jpg 600w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_4177-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_4177-768x573.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_4177.jpg 825w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice video bail court in Wawa on June 5, 2025, and was remanded into custody.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On June 4, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant in Wawa.
