The roadside use of the Alcohol Screening Device (ASD) resulted in a fail. The driver was arrested at the scene and transported to the Schreiber Detachment for further testing with a Breath Technician.<\/p>\n<p>Joseph WIRTZ 32-years-old, from Terrace Bay has been charged under the Criminal Code;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operation while impaired &#8211; alcohol and drugs, Section 320.14(1)(a)CC<\/li>\n<li>Operation while impaired &#8211; blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), Section 320.14(1)(b)CC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The accused was released by the Schreiber OPP and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Schreiber Court to speak to the charges.<\/p>\n<p>The OPP relies on the public to report crime. Impaired driving is a serious crime that should be treated no differently. No amount of alcohol or drugs in your system is safe when driving. If you know or suspect that a driver is impaired by alcohol or drugs, call 9-1-1.
