{"id":73361,"date":"2025-04-18T07:57:59","date_gmt":"2025-04-18T11:57:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=73361"},"modified":"2025-04-18T07:58:57","modified_gmt":"2025-04-18T11:58:57","slug":"east-algoma-opp-charges-laid-after-drug-warrant-executed-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2025\/04\/18\/east-algoma-opp-charges-laid-after-drug-warrant-executed-2\/","title":{"rendered":"East Algoma OPP &#8211; Charges Laid after Drug Warrant Executed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-101\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859-300x236.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a>On April 16, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Dugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a residence on Youngfox Road in Blind River.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the warrant being executed, over 100 grams of suspected cocaine, digital scales, cash, packaging materials, debt lists, machetes, and numerous cell phones were seized.<\/p>\n<p>The OPP&#8217;s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, and uniform members were involved with the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Samantha PELLERIN, 30-years-old, of Blind River was charged with:\u00a0Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; cocaine.<\/p>\n<p>Echo PELLERIN, 41-years-old, of Blind River was charged with:\u00a0Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; cocaine.<\/p>\n<p>Robert VINCENT, 36-years-old, of Blind River was charged with:\u00a0Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; cocaine.<\/p>\n<p>Jameel Winston BAPTISTE, 38-years-old, of Niagara Falls was charged with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking &#8211; cocaine<\/li>\n<li>Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All accused persons are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on June 5, 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On April 16, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Dugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a residence on Youngfox Road in Blind River.
