Winter Storm Warning in effect for:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Agawa – Lake Superior Park<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    A winter storm is expected beginning early this afternoon.<\/p>\n

    What:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Total snowfall amounts of 20 to 40 cm.<\/li>\n
    • Peak snowfall rates of 3 to 5 cm per hour.<\/li>\n
    • Poor visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      When: Beginning early this afternoon and tapering off Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

      Additional information: Scattered flurries and possibly freezing drizzle will give way to heavy snow near noon. Northerly winds gusting to 50 km\/h will result in areas of blowing snow, further reducing visibility.<\/p>\n

      Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.<\/p>\n
