\"\"<\/a>The Meloche-Kryszewski family sadly announces the tragic passing of Jean of Wawa, Ontario on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the age of 69. <\/span><\/p>\n

Beloved husband of Monique. Loving father of St\u00e9phanie (Olivier) and Jean-Fran\u00e7ois (deceased 2018). He will be sadly missed by his brother Pierre (Dani\u00e8le), as well as sisters Fran\u00e7oise (Ga\u00e9tan), Lise (Dave) and Ad\u00e8le. Jean will also be greatly missed by Monique’s siblings, Sylviane <\/span>(Pierre), Chantal, Nadine (Jean-Yves) and St\u00e9phane (Linda). In addition to many\u00a0<\/span>nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Jean is predeceased by his parents L\u00e9o and Claire Meloche and his brother Paul. Predeceased by his father and mother-in-law\u00a0<\/span>Joseph and St\u00e9phanie Kryszewski.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1985, Jean decided to return to teaching in the small town of Wawa. Little did he\u00a0<\/span>know, his future wife\u2014who would also become the mother of his children\u2014was arriving\u00a0to start her own teaching career in the same town. Jean had the privilege of teaching\u00a0both at the elementary and high school levels, while also immersing himself in the role\u00a0of educational advisor the Ministry of Education in Sudbury and for the Conseil scolaire\u00a0du Nouvel Ontario.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jean retired in 2012, allowing him to fully embrace his other passions, including fishing,\u00a0<\/span>golfing, cycling, and exploring the world with his family and friends. His heart was as big as his commitment to his community, and he loved participating in local tournaments and activities. He volunteered at school, sharing his knowledge and passion for learning with others.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He will undoubtedly be missed by his many friends and companions in recreation,\u00a0<\/span>especially his fishing partners in crime.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Monica Parish, Wawa\u00a0on Friday, February 7th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Joe Okamba officiating. For those that are not able to attend in person, the mass will be live streamed. Son beau-p\u00e8re et sa belle-m\u00e8re Joseph et\u00a0St\u00e9phanie Kryszewski l’ont<\/span> \u00e9galement pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 dans la mort.<\/p>\n

En 1985, Jean d\u00e9cide de retourner enseigner dans la petite ville de Wawa. Il \u00e9tait loin\u00a0<\/span>de se douter que sa future \u00e9pouse – qui allait devenir la m\u00e8re de ses enfants – allait\u00a0commencer sa propre carri\u00e8re d&#39;enseignante dans la m\u00eame ville. Jean a eu le privil\u00e8ge\u00a0enseigner aux niveaux \u00e9l\u00e9mentaire et secondaire, d`\u00eatre conseiller p\u00e9dagogique pour\u00a0le Minist\u00e8re de l’\u00e9ducation<\/span> \u00e0 Sudbury et pour le Conseil scolaire du Nouvel Ontario.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jean a pris sa retraite en 2012, ce qui lui a permis de s’adonner pleinement \u00e0 ses\u00a0<\/span>autres passions, notamment la p\u00eache, le golf, le cyclisme et l’exploration du monde\u00a0avec sa famille et ses amis.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Son c\u0153ur \u00e9tait aussi grand que son engagement envers sa communaut\u00e9, et il aimait\u00a0<\/span>participer aux tournois et aux activit\u00e9s locales. Il \u00e9tait b\u00e9n\u00e9vole \u00e0 l’\u00e9cole, partageant ses\u00a0connaissances et son exp\u00e9rience.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Il va certainement manquer \u00e0 ses nombreux amis et compagnons de loisirs, en\u00a0<\/span>particulier \u00e0 ses partenaires de p\u00eache.<\/p>\n
