Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, the driver failed to stop for police. Through further investigation, officers determined that the motor vehicle was stolen.<\/p>\n<p>A short time later, officers successfully stopped the motor vehicle and placed the driver and passenger under arrest.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Jason RIDE, 50-years-old, of Lombardy, has been arrested and charged under the <em>Criminal Code <\/em>with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000<\/li>\n<li>Flight From Peace Officer<\/li>\n<li>Fail to Comply with Probation Order &#8211; nine counts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Marathon at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Torri RIDE, 50-years-old, of Jasper Wolford Township, has been arrested and charged under the CC with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.<\/p>\n<p>The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Marathon at a later date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two individuals are facing charges following a stolen motor vehicle incident in Marathon.
