{"id":66598,"date":"2024-04-17T07:43:39","date_gmt":"2024-04-17T11:43:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=66598"},"modified":"2024-04-17T07:43:39","modified_gmt":"2024-04-17T11:43:39","slug":"wawa-area-victim-services-administrative-support-front-line-crisis-responder-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2024\/04\/17\/wawa-area-victim-services-administrative-support-front-line-crisis-responder-position\/","title":{"rendered":"Wawa &#038; Area Victim Services &#8211; Administrative Support &#038; Front-Line Crisis Responder Position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Administrative Support and Front-Line Crisis Responder Position<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/WAVS-employment.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-66599\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/WAVS-employment.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"160\" \/><\/a>Wawa and Area Victim Services provides immediate, short-term, practical and emotional support to victims of crime and tragic events primarily at the request of our community partners.\u00a0 We are seeking an individual who will fulfill two primary roles \u2013 one as a Administrative Support (bookkeeping, filing, remittances) and as a front-line crisis responder dealing with clients in difficult situations.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bilingual \u2013 able to speak both English and French fluently (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Able to obtain a Police Vulnerable Persons Check (necessary)<\/li>\n<li>Able to deal respectfully and supportively with clients in crisis situations in an empathetic, non-judgemental manner<\/li>\n<li>Able to maintain confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Able to work closely in a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Able to juggle competing priorities<\/li>\n<li>Able to fulfill 24 hour on-call duties in a 3-week rotation<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s license and a clean driving record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other assets that will be considered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with SAGE accounting<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Social Media applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This position is a full time (30 hours per week) position.<\/p>\n<p>6% (3 weeks) vacation taken during current year<\/p>\n<p>5% flexible benefit<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rate of pay is commensurate with education and experience.<\/p>\n<p>Expected start date: Mid-June 2024<\/p>\n<p>Please forward your letter of application and resum\u00e9 to Beverly Boyd, Executive Director at Wawa and Area Victim Services, P.O.
