On April 13, 2024, shortly after 2:00 a.m., the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police was conducting general patrol on Highway 17 near Pine Shores Road, when officers observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and failing to maintain its lane.<\/p>\n<p>A traffic stop was conducted, where investigation determined the vehicle driver had consumed alcoholic beverages. A search of the vehicle located both sealed and open containers of alcohol. As a result, Joseph REVILLE, 29 years-of-age, of Sault Ste. Marie was arrested and charged with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operation while impaired &#8211; alcohol and drugs<\/li>\n<li>Operation while impaired &#8211; blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)<\/li>\n<li>Speeding &#8211; 1-49 km\/hr over posted limit<\/li>\n<li>Driving motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor<\/li>\n<li>Fail to have insurance card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 3, 2024 in Sault Ste. Marie.
