SE OPP issued the following update, today, Monday, September 25, 2017 at 9:46 a.m.<\/p>\n

“On September 23, 2017 at approximately 9:00 p.m., members from the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified that a male hunting in the Chapleau area was overdue.\u00a0An overnight search of local backroads was conducted.<\/p>\n

On September 24, 2017 at approximately 11:45 a.m., Wesley BECKETT was located in good health.<\/p>\n

The investigation is complete.<\/p>\n

The Superior East OPP appreciates the assistance of the media and the public with this investigation.”<\/p>\n

Superior East OPP are currently searching for an overdue hunter in the Chapleau area. 79-year-old Wesley Beckett of Algoma Mills was reported overdue Saturday evening, and an overnight search of local backroads was conducted with negative results.<\/p>\n

Officials describe him as\u00a05’10”, 180 lbs, fair complexion with white hair, last seen wearing a blue plaid t-shirt, black work pants and brown boots.\u00a0He was driving a red 2012 Chevrolet Silverado bearing Ontario licence plate AM31757.<\/p>\n
