{"id":65368,"date":"2024-02-22T08:23:21","date_gmt":"2024-02-22T13:23:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=65368"},"modified":"2024-02-22T08:23:21","modified_gmt":"2024-02-22T13:23:21","slug":"nipigon-opp-arrest-made-after-investigation-into-drug-trafficking-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/22\/nipigon-opp-arrest-made-after-investigation-into-drug-trafficking-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Nipigon OPP &#8211; Arrest made after investigation into drug trafficking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-101\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859-300x236.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a>As a result of public complaints and tips, officers from the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into drug trafficking in the town of Nipigon.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of this investigation a warrant was issued for the arrest of Adrian CRAWFORD, 52 years old, of Nipigon, Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>On February 21, 2024, the accused was arrested and has been charged with;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trafficking in Schedule I Substance &#8211; Methamphetamines (Crystal Meth), contrary to Section 5(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act<\/li>\n<li>Trafficking in Schedule I Substance &#8211; Cocaine, contrary to Section 5(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act<\/li>\n<li>Trafficking in Schedule I Substance &#8211; other drugs, contrary to Section 5(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The accused is being held in custody for a bail hearing.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any information about the trafficking of illicit drugs call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
