{"id":62179,"date":"2023-08-22T06:25:31","date_gmt":"2023-08-22T10:25:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=62179"},"modified":"2023-08-22T21:50:55","modified_gmt":"2023-08-23T01:50:55","slug":"ldhcf-join-the-board-of-dirctors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2023\/08\/22\/ldhcf-join-the-board-of-dirctors\/","title":{"rendered":"LDHCF &#8211; Join the Board of Dirctors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>WHO ARE WE?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-62180\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/LDHC-Directors.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"223\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Lady Dunn Health Centre Foundation <\/strong>is an independent registered charity governed by a board of directors and operating under the Ontario Not for Profit Corporations Act (ONCA), the Charitable Accounting Act and the Charitable Gifts Act.<\/p>\n<p>We have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 dedicated and passionate members.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Vision<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To constantly invest in the Lady Dunn Health Centre by meeting tomorrow&#8217;s health care needs today.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To establish and generate charitable support and donations to enhance health care services delivered at the Lady Dunn Health Centre.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Values<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Respect \u2022 Trust \u2022 Integrity \u2022 Compassion \u2022 Inclusiveness<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT DO WE DO?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Lady Dunn Health Centre Foundation<\/strong> raises money to purchase capital equipment and provides a funding avenue for the Lady Dunn Health Centre.\u00a0 We actively solicit donations, plan and run fundraising events and offer various gift giving programs.<\/p>\n<p>As of March 31, 2023, the Foundation has purchased over $900,000 worth of capital equipment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHY DO WE DO WHAT WE DO?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Lady Dunn Health Centre Foundation<\/strong> exists because the government does not provide the funding for capital expenditures (equipment).\u00a0 Government grants are the main source for operating funds however most other expenses are the responsibility of the local community.\u00a0 We raise money so the LDHC can continue to provide excellent care to our communities and is able to attract physicians.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU <\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A rewarding experience knowing that you are helping to support essential health services.<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities to develop skills around board governance, public sector funding, event planning, and communication.<\/li>\n<li>Fun!
