{"id":6001,"date":"2017-08-30T20:06:51","date_gmt":"2017-08-31T00:06:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=6001"},"modified":"2017-09-12T22:24:07","modified_gmt":"2017-09-13T02:24:07","slug":"kenora-opp-investigate-serious-collision-on-highway-17a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2017\/08\/30\/kenora-opp-investigate-serious-collision-on-highway-17a\/","title":{"rendered":"Kenora OPP Investigate Serious Collision on Highway 17A"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Aug 30, 2017 @ 20:06<\/b><\/p>\n<p>At 7:51 Kenora OPP advised that Hwy 17A between Jones Road and Airport Road is open to one lane, alternating traffic.<\/p>\n<p><b>Aug 30, 2017 @ 19:38<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, with assistance from Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) and the Kenora Forensic Identification Unit (FISU) are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 17a, between Airport Rd and Highway 671.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Police received a report of a two vehicle collision shortly after 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2017.\u00a0Police, Kenora Fire and Ambulance attended and eight people were taken to hospital via ambulance and police vehicle.\u00a0The level of the injuries are undetermined at this time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The highway remains closed and travellers are asked to take alternate routes around the scene via Airport Rd or Jones Rd.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The investigation is continuing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aug 30, 2017 @ 20:06 At 7:51 Kenora OPP advised that Hwy 17A between Jones Road and Airport Road is open to one lane, alternating traffic.
