\nFront Line Shelter Workers (Casual\/Relief)<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are a woman with an interest in women\u2019s issues, particularly as they relate to violence against women, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of women and children, the Front Line Shelter worker (Casual\/Relief) position may be of interest to you. As a Front Line Shelter Worker (Casual\/Relief) you will:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Have post-secondary education in a relevant field, and\/or life experience as it relates to violence against women, and be committed to ongoing learning
\n\u2022 An understanding of and ability to work within a feminist, anti-racism\/anti-oppression framework
\n\u2022 Be empathetic, with good listening and communication skills, written and oral
\n\u2022 Will be able to think and act appropriately under pressure
\n\u2022 Have basic computer skills
\n\u2022 Be comfortable working as part of a team or independently, with little supervision
\n\u2022 Have current C.P.R. and First Aid Certificates, a valid class G driver\u2019s license and be insurable under the organization\u2019s insurance policy.
\n\u2022 Be available on a call-in basis only for shifts, including nights and weekends.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 avoir une bonne compr\u00e9hension de l\u2019environnement de travail f\u00e9ministe, antiraciste et anti-oppression, et la capacit\u00e9 de travailler dans un tel milieu;
\n\u2022 faire preuve d\u2019empathie, d\u2019une bonne capacit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9coute et d\u2019habilet\u00e9s en communication, \u00e0 l\u2019oral comme \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9crit;
\n\u2022 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir et agir ad\u00e9quatement dans un contexte o\u00f9 la pression est intense;
\n\u2022 disposer d\u2019habilet\u00e9s de base en informatique;
\n\u2022 \u00eatre \u00e0 l\u2019aise dans le travail d\u2019\u00e9quipe et pouvoir aussi travailler de mani\u00e8re ind\u00e9pendante, avec peu de supervision;
\n\u2022 \u00eatre titulaire d\u2019un certificat en r\u00e9animation cardiorespiratoire (RCP) et en premiers soins, d\u2019un permis de conduire de cat\u00e9gorie G valide et \u00eatre assurable en vertu de la politique de l\u2019organisme en mati\u00e8re d\u2019assurances.
