{"id":53173,"date":"2022-04-07T08:00:11","date_gmt":"2022-04-07T12:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=53173"},"modified":"2022-04-07T06:16:13","modified_gmt":"2022-04-07T10:16:13","slug":"se-opp-arrest-made-after-possible-impaired-driver-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2022\/04\/07\/se-opp-arrest-made-after-possible-impaired-driver-report\/","title":{"rendered":"SE OPP &#8211; Arrest made after Possible Impaired Driver Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-101\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859-300x236.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a>On March 29, 2022 at approximately 5:56 p.m., members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a possible impaired driver operating a four-door sedan on Highway 17 in White River.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle was located and further investigation revealed that the driver was impaired.\u00a0A small amount of suspected methamphetamine was also located in the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Jeramie KERNIGHAN, 26 years of age, of Maple Glen, New Brunswick, was arrested and charged with the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operation while impaired &#8211; alcohol and drugs, contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC), and<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance &#8211; Methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The vehicle passenger, Isaiah BLAKNEY, 23 years of age, of Wheaton Settlement, New Brunswick, was arrested and charged with the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance &#8211; Methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both accused parties were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 9, 2022 in Wawa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On March 29, 2022 at approximately 5:56 p.m., members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a possible impaired driver operating a four-door sedan on Highway 17 in White River.
