We serve the North Algoma and Chapleau area, including all First Nation and Unorganized communities in this geographical area. We have been serving women and their children for 35 years. As we continue to strive to provide the best support and service possible, and to reach out to all women who need us, we require an energetic, motivated individual to help us reach our fundraising goals.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approaching businesses, local authorities, corporations trusts and individuals to secure funding<\/li>\n<li>Organizing and helping with fundraising activities such as sponsored or promotional events, mailings, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Recruiting volunteers as needed for events or promotions and coordinating their work<\/li>\n<li>Planning donation campaigns and events in conjunction with the Executive Director and fundraising Committee.<\/li>\n<li>Supports Fundraising Committee including meeting planning and notification, preparing meeting materials and minutes<\/li>\n<li>Coming up with new ways to acquire funding \u2013 through events, online advertising or legacy-giving campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Manage communications related to events and fundraising activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sales and negotiation abilities<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills<\/li>\n<li>IT and social media skills<\/li>\n<li>Good organization skills<\/li>\n<li>Administrative and project management skills<\/li>\n<li>Resourcefulness<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build and maintain professional relationships<\/li>\n<li>Creative thinking<\/li>\n<li>Ability to solve problems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualifications &amp; Education:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program.
