On March 14, 2022, at 6:50 pm, members of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 11-17 at Hwy 102, also known as Sistonen’s Corner.<\/p>\n
Investigation revealed that a Tractor-Trailer Unit southbound on Hwy 102 failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a westbound pickup truck on Hwy 11-17. The pickup truck suffered extensive damage but there were no injuries reported.<\/p>\n
Police charged the driver of the Tractor Trailer Unit, Jacques DUFRESNE, 33 of Ottawa, ON with Careless Driving, contrary to section 130 of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.<\/p>\n
