Appian Capital Advisory LLP, the investment advisor to long-term value-focused private equity funds that invest solely in mining and mining-related companies, is pleased to announce that it has divested its 2.0% net smelter return royalty and its subordinated credit facility in Harte Gold to Silver Lake Resources, representing a positive outcome for Appian’s investors.<\/p>\n
Under the terms of the transaction,\u00a0Silver Lake will acquire the Royalty\u00a0for\u00a0US$22.0m in Silver Lake<\/span> shares,\u00a0following Appian’s\u00a0original\u00a0acquisition in\u00a0December 2019 for\u00a0US$9.5m.\u00a0Silver Lake will also purchase\u00a0the\u00a0SCF\u00a0for\u00a0US$33.4m in cash,\u00a0which represents\u00a0a 15% premium\u00a0to\u00a0Appian’s principal\u00a0investment\u00a0of US$28.0m<\/span> in\u00a0July 2020.<\/p>\n This\u00a0includes\u00a0the\u00a0US$28m principal,\u00a0a 115% early redemption charge\u00a0of\u00a0US$4.2m,\u00a0US$1.2m in accrued interest\u00a0and\u00a0an additional\u00a0~US$680,000\u00a0to cover technical consulting\u00a0and legal\u00a0fees.<\/p>\n The success of the transaction is the result of Appian’s active engagement with Silver Lake<\/span> following Harte Gold’s entry into creditor protection on 7 December 2021<\/span>, following which Silver Lake<\/span> was ultimately named as successful bidder for the company.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Appian Capital Advisory LLP, the investment advisor to long-term value-focused private equity funds that invest solely in mining and mining-related companies, is pleased to announce that it has divested its 2.0% net smelter return royalty and its subordinated credit facility in Harte Gold to Silver Lake Resources, representing a positive outcome for Appian’s investors.
