Twenty hospitals in the North East Local Health Integration Network will be receiving funding from a\u00a0provincial funding announcement to help hospitals make critical improvements to their facilities, including upgrades or replacements to roofs, windows, heating and air conditioning systems, fire alarms and back-up generators. The\u00a0Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund (HIRF)\u00a0was established in 1999 to assist hospitals in renewing their facilities.<\/p>\n
