News Tidbits:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s a sure sign of spring – the Coast Guard warns that ice throughout the St. Marys River is deteriorating rapidly. To prevent a collapse of the ice field that would hinder Neebish Island Ferry operations, Coast Guard ice-breaking tugs will carefully carve a track to the ferry crossing then begin flushing the rotten ice downriver beginning this morning, March 23rd. Forecasted rain and above normal air temperatures will aid this endeavor.<\/p>\n

The Ontario government is providing $696.6 million in funding to help cover historic working funds deficits for qualifying public hospitals, with a focus on small, medium as well as specialty, and rehabilitation hospitals that carry a large fiscal strain due to their unique situations and historical funding challenges.<\/p>\n
