On Monday, June 12, 2017 at 12:09 p.m., members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police received a call for service on Highway 69, approximately 1km north of Wood Duck Trail, involving a fire.<\/p>\n
Investigation has since revealed that a tractor trailer was travelling on Highway 69 when it sustained a mechanical issue. The operator had stopped the tractor trailer to investigate the issue when the trailer became fully engulfed in flames. The flames then spread to a nearby area of bush. The Britt and Area Fire Department, as well as the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry Fire Fighters were deployed to assist with fire suppression.<\/p>\n
No injuries were reported during the incident.<\/p>\n
