        Anita Quidangen, a personal support worker (PSW) from the Rekai Centre at Sherbourne Place, a long-term care home in Toronto was the first Canadian to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. Doug Ford said in a media release, “She has worked tirelessly to care for some of our most vulnerable, both throughout this pandemic and since her first days as a PSW in 1988. Anita has spent years rolling up her sleeves to protect our province, and today, she didn’t hesitate to find a new way to do so. She represents the best of the Ontario Spirit.”<\/p>\n

        Premier Doug Ford will be joined by Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, Solicitor General Sylvia Jones and General Rick Hillier (retired), Chair of the COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Task Force, to provide an update on the COVID-19 vaccines roll-out at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n
