{"id":3974,"date":"2017-06-08T08:42:02","date_gmt":"2017-06-08T12:42:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=3974"},"modified":"2017-09-12T22:24:07","modified_gmt":"2017-09-13T02:24:07","slug":"east-algoma-opp-blind-river-cocaine-located-in-vehicle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2017\/06\/08\/east-algoma-opp-blind-river-cocaine-located-in-vehicle\/","title":{"rendered":"East Algoma OPP Blind River &#8211; Cocaine located in vehicle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ql-align-justify\">On June 6, 2017, shortly after 4:00 p.m., members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on regular patrol on Woodward Avenue in the Town of Blind River.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ql-align-justify\">\n<p class=\"ql-align-justify\">As an OPP officer passed a parked motor vehicle he detected a strong odor of freshly burned marijuana emanating from the vehicle. \u00a0The officer then approached the parked vehicle and spoke with a female who was exiting the vehicle.\u00a0\u00a0She was arrested and the vehicle searched.\u00a0A small amount of cocaine, cannabis resin, and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ql-align-justify\">\n<p class=\"ql-align-justify\">As a result of the investigation, Danielle BISSAILLION, 28 years of age, from Blind River was charged with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Possession of a Schedule I Substance &#8211; Cocaine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA);<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule II Substance-Other Drugs, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA; and<\/li>\n<li class=\"ql-align-justify\">Possession of a Schedule II Substance-Cannabis Resin-Under 1 gram, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ql-align-justify\">\n<p class=\"ql-align-justify\">The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on July 13, 2017.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ql-align-justify\"><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><div class=\"divider\"><\/div><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-101\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-300x236.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"133\" \/><strong>About the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)<\/strong> - The Ontario Provincial Police is<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0one of North America's largest deployed police services with more than 6,200 uniformed officers, 3,100 civilian employees and 800 Auxiliary officers.
