Wawa Community Outreach Program Project Coordinator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/WawaCommunityOutreach.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-38208\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/WawaCommunityOutreach-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/WawaCommunityOutreach-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/WawaCommunityOutreach-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/WawaCommunityOutreach-70x70.png 70w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/WawaCommunityOutreach.png 325w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The Wawa Community Outreach Group is a collaborative local team of care providers, serving Wawa and area.\u00a0 We are currently seeking a motivated and organized Community Outreach Coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>The Wawa Community Outreach Program Project Coordinator\u2019s role is to provide support to those in need in their homes during the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The Community Outreach Coordinator will prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, evaluation methods, metrics, and budget for the project.\u00a0 The Project Coordinator will perform various coordinating tasks, like scheduling and administrative duties, and maintaining project documentation.<\/p>\n<p>The goal is to ensure our residents have access to the social programs they require.\u00a0 At the end of the term, there shall be a report that indicates what services are available, what services are required and where there are gaps verifiable through data collection.<\/p>\n<p>Working with a community collaborative the Community Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>understanding the various medical and social supports within our community<\/li>\n<li>provide promotional material to the community to encourage individuals to contact the assessor<\/li>\n<li>direct individuals to the appropriate programs<\/li>\n<li>Maintain data on the need verses the availability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Short-term 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The task requires strict adherence to a code of confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Clear Criminal Record<\/li>\n<li>Current Ontario Driver\u2019s License and use of own vehicle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role<\/li>\n<li>Experience in project management, from conception to delivery<\/li>\n<li>An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans<\/li>\n<li>Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management<\/li>\n<li>Strong client-facing and teamwork skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written and verbal<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated creative problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and Windows environment required.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working in a social\/medical services environment<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and French would be an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Development of the Community Outreach Program including scope, timelines, costs, quality, communication, deliverables, metrics, stakeholders, evaluation and sustainment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with team and stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that goals are met as the project evolves<\/li>\n<li>Help oversee, prepare, and adhere to a budget<\/li>\n<li>Analyze risks and opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise<\/li>\n<li>Act as the point of contact and communicate the project status to all participants<\/li>\n<li>Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures<\/li>\n<li>Use tools to evaluate the project to ensure targeted goals and deadlines are met<\/li>\n<li>Help prepare all appropriate documentation (eg.
