Members of the Lady Dunn Health Centre Foundation were all smiles yesterday, October 6th when they received this huge cheque for $2,800 and a small bag o\u2019 cash ($40) from Tracey (far right) and Mark Toffner; the new owners of Tim Hortons \u2013 Wawa. These funds will be used to buy a new Telemetry Unit (wireless cardiac monitor) for the Lady Dunn Health Centre.<\/p>\n

In a new twist this year, not only could business\u2019 place an order for a dozen at a time for Smile Cookies \u2014 but members of the LDHC Foundation assisted in decorating the cookies! It was a great help, because those cookies are very popular and delicious. A freshly baked chocolate chunk cookie decorated with a smiley face was only $1 plus tax, all donated to the LDHC Foundation. They were only available from September 14 \u2013 20th, and as you can see, quite a few were sold.<\/p>\n

The members of the LDHC Foundation expressed their gratitude to the Toffner\u2019s for their generosity and help in making this campaign a huge success for the community of Wawa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
