All persons in the vehicle were arrested without incident. A firearm and a large quantity of Canadian currency was seized. The Manitoulin OPP Crime Unit is assisting with the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the investigation, the following persons have been arrested and charged:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Michael LAUDER, 22 years-old, of Scarborough was charged with:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm contrary to section 91(1) of the Criminal Code (CC),<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a firearm knowing Serial Number has been Tampered with contrary to section 108(1)(b) of the CC,<\/li>\n<li>Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition contrary to section 86(1) of the CC and,<\/li>\n<li>Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 &#8211; in Canada contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The accused was held for Bail Court in Gore Bay with a scheduled bail hearing on July 13, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. Karen CONSTANTIN, 47 years-old, of Wikwemikong First Nation was charged with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm contrary to section 91(1) of the Criminal Code (CC),<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a firearm knowing Serial Number has been Tampered with contrary to section 108(1)(b) of the CC,<\/li>\n<li>Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition contrary to section 86(1) of the CC,<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order contrary to section 117.01(1) of the CC and,<\/li>\n<li>Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 &#8211; in Canada contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The accused was held for Bail Court in Gore Bay with a scheduled bail hearing on July 13, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3.
