I am inspired by the creativity, ingenuity and passion our awards recipients have demonstrated, and look forward to what\u2019s yet to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/NCUA_Icons_135x135_v01-04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3266 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/NCUA_Icons_135x135_v01-04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"135\" height=\"135\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/NCUA_Icons_135x135_v01-04.jpg 135w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/NCUA_Icons_135x135_v01-04-70x70.jpg 70w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 135px) 100vw, 135px\" \/><\/a>Regionally, the Northern Credit Union won the Innovation Award, for their &#8216;Small Business Rocks&#8217; program, making them the first financial institution in Canada to offer small business lending and deposit accounts entirely online.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>About the Award: &#8220;The National Innovation Awards is designed to recognize credit union\/caisse popularies for breakthrough products, services and processes that are either new or have undergone significant improvements and can serve as a model for other credit unions. We look to recognize innovations that have demonstrated substantial benefit to either the credit union\/caisse popularie or member base. The National Innovation Award should recognize the credit union\/caisse popularie\u2013 not specific individuals.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Other Award Winners:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hall of Fame<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0This year\u2019s Hall of Fame award winners were formally recognized for their years of leadership and for their positive influence in the Canadian credit union system.
