Wawa 2 continues to be observed at .3 of a hectare. It is located on the south shore of Dodds Lake at the north end of Lake Superior Provincial Park. The fire hazard is generally low to moderate across the Northeast Region. Areas around St.Joseph\u2019s Island and Desbarats, moving eastward towards Spragge and Elliot Lake, including Cockburn Island are showing a high hazard this afternoon.<\/aside>\n<aside><\/aside>\n<aside>In the Northwest Region, there were no new fires discovered in the Northwest Region, there is however, One active fires in the region &#8211; Red Lake 6.<br \/>\nA band of high fire hazard extends through the central part of the region affecting areas of the Kenora, Red Lake, Dryden, Sioux Lookout and Nipigon sectors.
