40px;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u201cThe Algoma District School Board (ADSB) appreciated hearing the news shared today by Premier Doug Ford and the Ontario Minister of Education Stephen Lecce.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>Like the Ministry of Education, keeping students and staff healthy at this critical time is ADSB\u2019s first priority.\u00a0 Equally important is supporting our students and staff in their teaching and learning during this challenging time.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>Minister Lecce advised that the online portal is Phase One of the \u2018Learn at Home\u2019 strategy and is designed to support parents and students over the next two weeks.\u00a0The portal can be accessed at this link:\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/page\/learn-at-home\">https:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/page\/learn-at-home<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>Parents are reminded that the Ministry of Education will continue to receive direction and information from the Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health, as it monitors the impact of COVID-19 and the need for school closures.\u00a0Minister Lecce has indicated that if it is recommended to keep schools closed beyond April 5<sup>th<\/sup>, he will be engaging with partners, unions and school boards about implementing \u00a0\u00a0Phase Two of the strategy.\u00a0 \u00a0ADSB will take direction from the Ministry of Education as the situation evolves and will\u00a0communicate with parents through our voice messaging system and\/or our website (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adsb.on.ca\/\">http:\/\/www.adsb.on.ca<\/a>).<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left:
