Beware of branches or\u00a0electrical wires that could break under the weight of ice. Public\u00a0Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get\u00a0an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid\u00a0kit and a flashlight. The temperature in Wawa at this time is 0.9C, so the ice-coated surfaces are not melting, and remain very slippery. <\/a><\/a>At 4:12 p.m., Highway 519 and Highway 17 (Wawa to White River) remains closed. Although the freezing rain has stopped in Wawa about two hours ago, everything remains glazed with ice. The same conditions exist in Dubreuilville, but they have been hit harder with ice pellets to the depth of 3.25 cms.<\/p>\n
