{"id":26739,"date":"2019-12-16T08:17:55","date_gmt":"2019-12-16T13:17:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=26739"},"modified":"2019-12-16T08:17:55","modified_gmt":"2019-12-16T13:17:55","slug":"tiny-christmas-village","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2019\/12\/16\/tiny-christmas-village\/","title":{"rendered":"A Tiny Christmas Village"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/village-0655.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26741\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/village-0655.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"242\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/village-0655.jpg 600w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/village-0655-300x121.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nestled in the family recroom at the home of Ron and Mary Chalmers at 45 Churchill Avenue is the most beautifully displayed Christmas village.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The village began to take shape 30 years ago when Mary received the first piece (a bed and breakfast house) as a Christmas gift.\u00a0 The village was originally set up for their son and is now enjoyed by the entire family especially the grandkids.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Each year it takes approximately 40 to 50 hours to set up.\u00a0 A 4&#215;8 sheet of plywood was made into a table with holes to feed the cords for each lighted piece.\u00a0 With one flip of a switch it comes to life!
